Pursuant to Local Civil Rule 5.3, all attorneys are required to file documents electronically. Pro Se parties may file documents upon Court approval pursuant to a motion. Attorneys and court-approved pro se filers, who have not attended training in another federal district or bankruptcy court, are required to attend training before being issued a login ID and password.
To register for training in the Middle District of North Carolina, please contact Court's Training Coordinator at (336) 332-6003. All training is conducted in the Greensboro Courthouse and has been approved for 2.0 hours of general CLE credit by the North Carolina State Bar Association.
Class size is limited so registration will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis. We recommend legal secretaries and assistants attend the class with an attorney, who must also register for the class to ensure that attorney filer has hands on experience with CM/ECF. If you register for a class and later realize you cannot attend, please call (336) 332-6003 as soon as possible. Classes will run two hours in length.
Please mail your Electronic Filing-Attorney Registration Form to the Clerk's Office after registering for a class to ensure you receive your CM/ECF login and password upon completion of your training session.
If you have time prior to your training session, we recommend you review the materials listed below which are located on our website:
After you have completed your training, you can practice online using our CM/ECF Training Database.
We look forward to getting you on board as a CM/ECF filer for the Middle District of North Carolina.
